Fund operations are directed by the Board of Trustees, elected by the general membership of the Fund. The Trustees meet four to five times a year and are responsible for management and oversight of the Fund. They review financial performance, underwriting performance, and authorize all claim settlements.
Colleen Meiring, Chair, Carleton
Ms. Meiring represents Moose & Squirrel Horticulture Resource Inc. and has been a member of the Fund since 1996 and board chairperson since 2000.
Dan Glas, Secretary/Treasurer, Kalamazoo
Mr. Glas represents Renewed Earth. He has been a member of the Fund since 2002 and board secretary/treasurer since 2009.
Jeanette Gaudreau-Ballien, Trustee, Saginaw
Ms. Gaudreau-Ballien represents Gaudreau the Florist. She has been a member of the Fund since 1998 and board trustee since 2008.
Ryan Basore, Trustee, Frederic
Mr. Basore represents Driven Grow, LLC. Ryan was appointed to the board in 2023.
John Brzozowski, Trustee, Almont
Mr. Brzozowski represents American Tree Inc. He has been a member of the Fund since 1999 and board trustee since 2023.
Kreg Krueger, Trustee, Flint
Mr. Krueger represents Vogt's Flowers. He has been member of the Fund since 2008 and board trustee since 2019.
Bob Patterson, Trustee, Big Rapids
Mr. Patterson represents Patterson’s Flowers, Inc. He has been a member of the Fund since its inception in 1993 and board trustee since 2001.
